On site, youth Alcoholics Anonymous and Families Anonymous meetings provide support for both the adolescent and the family in recovery. Random drug screens are also given to aid/ monitor the adolescent's progress while in treatment.
The F.A.I.R. program uses a multi-disciplinary approach to treatment, so that we may best serve our patients in their individual and family recovery.
Each patient works closely with a treatment team made up of certified drug and alcohol counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists, and peer counselors.
Our staff works from a systemic model utilizing close communication with outside resources such as school, student assistant coordinators, social workers, therapists, psychologists & psychiatrists, and probation officers.
Based on an evaluation outcome, referrals are made reflecting the most appropriate level of care for each individual. Although we specialize in Intensive Outpatient for teens, we can help place adolescents anywhere from individual or family therapy to residential treatment.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The focus of the FAIR program is individual and family recovery.
Appropriate for adolescents between the age of 13 and 19 years.
|
Our goal for our teenagers is to gain an understanding and a desire for a healthier lifestyle
-- free from chemicals and self-destructive behaviors.
Education plays an important role in the program for both the adolescent and his or her family members. Workshops, lectures, and groups explore and develop areas such as family communication, home contracts, limit setting, disease concept and family illness, self- esteem, anger management, and relapse prevention planning.
LEVELS OF CARE
Intensive Outpatient Program
Designed to provide full addictions treatment including group and family
therapy for adolescents who are suffering from serious alcohol and/or
drug problems and other self-harming behaviors. The program runs for 12 hours a week, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 6:30 - 9:30 PM and Saturdays 9:30 - 12:30 PM.
The National Institute on Drug Abuse reports that IOP treatment programs can effectively decrease drug and alcohol use, as well, as improve school performance and psychogical adjustment. The longer the treatment stay, the better the outcome.
Our program is also able to treat the chemically dependent adolescent who has concurrent psychiatric diagnoses such as depression or ADD.

Aftercare
Following successful discharge from F.A.I.R.'s Intensive Outpatient Program, both patient and parents are urged to attend their 12-Step meetings and participate together in the F.A.I.R. Aftercare Program.
This program provides support and accountability for all involved families while they seek to solidify their hold own sobriety, develop a sober support system, and improve family relations.
Fees
Most insurance companies cover the cost of the program, with some variation in coverage being dependent upon each family's insurance plan. Before treatment begins, and, usually after the initial evaluation, all fees are discussed. You will know how long treatment will be and for how much. This is called our "Good Faith" estimate.
FAIR staff works closely with the insurance company representative to see that the individual's available insurance funding is used appropriately and effectively.
Individual arrangements for payment are also available.
Evaluations
Evaluations and appointment times are available throughout our day and evening hours. Call (847)-359-5192.
